What You Can Expect
Open Networking: Our meetings kick off with some mingling prior to breakout rooms opening
Breakout Rooms: Before we begin our meeting we open “breakout rooms” for smaller groups to gather. These are a great way to start the day with a few laughs and check in with members.
Referral Requests: Let’s get down to business! Once the meeting starts, we run a tight ship. During the meeting, you’ll hear members give 45 second “asks” relating to their business. This can be a formal elevator pitch, short story of a recent success, or even an ask for an introduction to someone that can potentially help your business. Visitors receive the same 45 seconds after members to tell us what they do, who they’re looking to meet, and how we can help them grow your business!
Featured Presentations: Each week, two of our members are given the spotlight to speak more in depth about their business. Whether it’s a slide show, video testimonial, or interactive game the presenters use this time to inform members about their business and what a good referral is for them.
Givers Gain: This is the thankful part of our meeting. Each member reports their activity for the week whether it be 1-to-1s, CEU’s, Referrals Given, or most importantly TYFCB (Thank You For Closed Business).
Visitor Room: After the end of the meeting we will invite our visitors into a breakout room with the visitor hosts to answer any questions about the meeting, the group or about membership.
Success Strategies
Prepare Your Commercial
Keep Your Camera On
This is your chance to clearly communicate who you help, the problems you solve, and the type of referrals you’re looking for. Preparing in advance ensures your message is concise, memorable, and aligned with your current business goals. A well-prepared commercial helps fellow members recognize opportunities for you in real time.
Keeping your camera on helps build trust, connection, and accountability within the chapter. Seeing one another fosters stronger relationships and encourages active engagement during meetings. Your presence matters, and being visible reinforces your commitment to the group’s success.
Stay Until The End
Visit Again!
Staying for the entire meeting shows respect for members and the BNI organization. Important announcements, education moments, and referral opportunities often happen toward the end of the meeting. Your full participation strengthens the meeting and ensures you don’t miss valuable connections.
Visiting again allows you to deepen relationships and gain a better understanding of the chapter’s culture and members. Each visit increases familiarity and trust, making it easier to identify meaningful referral opportunities. Consistent engagement leads to stronger connections and greater long-term value.
